| By starting with
the very basics of a subject, one can be assured of truly understanding
it. This is especially necessary in the subject of science.
Often, you must go back in time to the day in which a phenomenon
was discovered to comprehend it entirely. We live in a high-tech
world which tries to speed up that process leaving out a lot
of pertinent information. |
Our approach
is to spark an interest, then lay a path for discovery, tracing
it's development and evolution, using interactive displays to
let students get their feet wet. And lastly, let them test their
own knowledge through various levels of tasks.
The first part, sparking an interest, is the most challenging.
With the appeal of amusing oneself, we hope to dangle a big
enough carrot that will attract the most reluctant of students.
Using exhibithions that are visually engaging, awe inspiring,
thought provoking and ones that just make you wonder, "how
the heck does that work?" This is then followed up in a
classroom where more demonstrations and open discussion adds
to the experience, encouraging further exploration. |
